Things you should be looking at.
Every fall around harvest time, the old farm would get swarmed by blackbirds. They were very loud and annoying, so we would want them off of our property. The quickest way was to fire a shotgun blast. Point it at the thickest part of the swarm, shoot, five birds would drop dead, the others would all scatter for at least a day.Once firing three shots from the pump action 12 gauge I managed to drop eight before they were out of range. It wasn't just senseless violence. The farm cats LOVED the treats.
